NaPoWriMo ‘25 Day 26

Our prompt for day 26 asked us to write a sonnet! My favourite part of the prompt was to think of this sonnet as a song and be as strict or not strict with rules as we wanted! I ended up following only the rhyme scheme of the Shakespearean sonnet, and no other factors. I mean, you could argue there is a problem and solution in the verses, but that’s a mystery for another day.

I recently closed a massive chapter of the past and this poem is essentially a song I needed to write. Happy reading!
